Accepted evidence types
PV accepts: laboratory analysis reports from qualifying third-party labs; photographic documentation with provenance chain; written declarations from verified claimants; chain-of-custody records; government or regulatory documentation; and third-party appraisal or authentication reports. Evidence must be submitted in accepted file formats (PDF, JPEG, PNG) and must be legible and complete.
Evidence authenticity
By submitting evidence, the claimant represents that the evidence is authentic, lawfully obtained, and accurately represents the item described. Submitting fraudulent, altered, or misattributed evidence is grounds for immediate disqualification and may result in account suspension and referral to appropriate authorities.
Material contradictions
If evidence submitted in support of a claim contradicts other evidence on file, PV reviewers will flag the contradiction as material. Material contradictions must be resolved before a T3 or T4 determination can be issued. A determination of UNRESOLVED_MATERIAL_CONTRADICTION results in the claim remaining at its current tier or being downgraded.
