Permitted use
API access is permitted for: verifying the current trust state of a certified item; integrating PV trust signals into an organization's own systems; creating and retrieving reliance receipts; and subscribing to trust state changes for certified items in your portfolio. API access is not permitted for: bulk harvesting of PV trust data for resale; automated decision-making that violates the prohibited inferences policy; or uses that circumvent the PV access control model.
Prohibited inferences
API consumers must not: upgrade a QUALIFY response to ALLOW without human review; fabricate claims not present in the PV response; use trust signals as the sole basis for an underwriting, credit, or insurance decision without human review; or infer that a non-T4 determination implies any positive or negative finding beyond the stated scope.
Rate limits and availability
API access is subject to rate limits as specified in the API documentation. PV does not guarantee specific uptime SLAs for API access except as specified in an executed Enterprise Agreement. Abuse of the API, including attempts to exceed rate limits or circumvent access controls, may result in immediate suspension of API access.
